Gaudiya Nritya – The dance of Bengal
Washim is an upcoming young vibrant classical dancer who left his successful legal career for the sake of dance. Having training in multiple Classical, Traditional and Folk-Art forms of India his initial training started at the age of eight with Bharatanatyam which he continued for more than 7 years and continuing with it he was privileged enough to have come across Dr/Prof Guru Mahua Mukherjee’s gurukul and devoted his complete self into Gaudiya Nritya, the dance of Bengal which is majorly based on Vaishnavism.
He also started learning Kuchipudi periodically at the EZCC Ministry of Culture under Guru Baijanti Kashi. Presently Washim is residing in Delhi and pursuing both Gaudiya and Kuchipudi dance towards becoming a full-time classical dancer.
He has performed on numberless prestigious platforms along with his renowned Guru Dr/Prof Mahua Mukherjee but being a soloist, he has been able to perform on various platforms at a national and international level.
