A Photography book
After completing his Masters degree in Computer Science at IIT Mumbai, Sam Kumar started his professional career with a Global IT company. As a part of his job he lived in US, UK, Holland, Australia, Dubai, Malaysia and Singapore for over 15 years. During this period he developed his passion for photography and film making. In 2010, he started a photography project, ‘Environmental Dance’, which combined his two passions – Nature and Dance. He photographed dancers in graceful movement in outdoor locations such as forests, mountains, parks, temples and monuments. Over the years, Sam Kumar held many solo exhibitions of his Environmental dance photos at art galleries in Singapore, Thailand and India. In February 2021, Sam Kumar published his first photography book ENVIRONMENTAL DANCE. It consists of 126 pages of photographs of dance in nature which had shot with 18 international dancers from India, Holland, US, Japan, Singapore, Thailand and Indonesia between 2010 and 2019.

Emma has a strong passion for dancing, singing, performing, teaching, and choreographing. She has been trained in classical ballet,modern, jazz, musical theatre and tap dancing. Her work credits include dancing at the closing ceremony of the London 2012 Olympics and appearing in musicals including Addams. Her range of work experience includes ballet productions such as Beatrix Potter, circus tours, films including ‘Fantastic Beasts’ and television projects like Made in Chelsea, music videos and TV adverts.She is passionate about teaching dance to all ages from children aged 4 to adults.”

Sharron Rose, M.A. Ed., is a true renaissance woman. A filmmaker, choreographer, composer and teacher, she has received grants and awards for her work including a Fulbright Senior Research Fellowship to conduct extensive research into the art, culture and spiritual traditions of North India where she became the first American disciple of Kathak Queen Sitara Devi. A scholar in world dance, music and religion, her research includes the teachings of Egypt, Tibet, Kabbalah, Shamanism, Gnosticism and Taoism. In 2000, she cofounded Sacred Mysteries Productions, for which she has produced numerous documentary films. Sharron is the author The Path of the Priestess: A Guidebook for Awakening the Divine Feminine and is currently completing her cd, The Nectar of Bliss dedicated to the Divine Feminine in cultures throughout the world

Shine Krishna is the Choreographer and Performer of this Rajasthani Puppet dance. She is also director of Rhythm Arts and Dance academy which she is running since 1999. She has expertise in classical Bharat Natyam and various Indian Folk dances, as well as experience choreographing Bollywood dances, organising cultural events & fashion shows. Performing has always been her passion. Her other talents include being an author of various books about Indian culture and fashion include “Fashion Rendering”. She has studied 5 years in Bharat Nataym and has a dance diploma in Indian folk dances from Kheragadh University India.
Shine has had many awards including being nominated for President Award for the best Student of the Year, received International Woman’s Award from Indian Government in Delhi India, and awarded “Youngest Choreographer” title in Madhya Pradesh, India. In total she has won 27 Garba & Dandiya Dance Competition awards. At Rhythm Arts & Dance Academy, she provides free training to students. Today she will educate us about a special traditional dance art form known as “Puppet Dance”.

Ramzi El-Edlibi is a Dancer, Choreographer and musician. As a world dance and music student, he has studied with the world’s most outstanding dance teachers of the world, Mr Vladimir Dokodovsky of the Russian Ballet of Monte Carlo and Ustaz Abdulhalim Caracalla of Caracalla Dance Company of Lebanon, and has studied many other traditional dance forms including Flamenco, Kathak, Latin American and Ballroom dances. Ramzi has travelled around the world performing in the most prestigious theatres such as Carnegie Hall of NYC and Saddlers Wells in London. At present Ramzi is the artistic director of “Dance Around The World”, an Arts in Education program to help bring dance and music from around the world into the public schools of USA.

Ragasudha Vinjamuri FRSA is an Associate Lecturer at the University of Sunderland in London. She is an award-winning dancer who has carved a niche for herself and broken barriers in taking Indian dancing to a variety of subjects and occasions in the UK and in Europe. She is the Founder of Sanskruti Centre for Cultural Excellence which highlights, promotes, and trains in unique Tribal dance forms of India, and publishes heritage and literary works. Her name was entered into Limca Book of Records 2018 edition in the Performing Arts Chapter. Today she will give us an insight into some of the diverse range of tribal dances that can be found in India.

Power Of Multi-Cultural Dance Music
Jesse Manno serves part time as the Music Director for the Dance Program at The University of Colorado in Boulder, an association that began when he was pursuing his B.A. in Asian Studies from CU Boulder in the 1980s. Since then he has also been a freelance composer, recording artist, producer, vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, improviser, teacher, and above all, collaborator. He loves to support various art forms with a wide variety of sounds, and in this role has created over 200 commissioned original scores for dance, theatre, film, and inter-disciplinary events for numerous arts entities across the USA, as well as in Europe and Asia. He is a frequent Artist In Residence at the Bates Dance Festival, and is Music Director for Turning The Wheel, Inc, which fosters vibrant communities through the arts for at risk youth and their mentors. Under another hat, he is a co-founder of the Balkan/Middle Eastern ensemble SHEREFE (sherefe.org), a Colorado based ensemble which performs traditional music from the Balkans and Middle East, regionally and nationally for private, public, spiritual, educational, and government events. He has performed at BAM Next Wave Festival (NY), World Sacred Music Festival (LA), Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Bates Dance Festival, and NAFSA Educational Conferences, among many others.

Her particular love for the cultural aspect of dance comes from recognizing the unifying force it carries. no matter what the context.
