Deepa Vithlani, a primary school teacher and entrepreneur, has been teaching in Brent Primary schools since 2006. Her linguistic background includes French, German and Italian. In addition to teaching, she has a part time business committed to helping families save money, which she works around while taking care of her two young children.
Deepa embarked on a holistic and spiritual journey 15 years ago after experiencing the incredible benefits of Reiki healing. She was inspired to work on her personal development and is a Reiki Level 2 practitioner.

Hiroshi Usami has been learning ‘Wa-no-mai’ under Mr Kazuki Chiga, the founder of ‘Wa-no-mai’, for 10 years. Hiroshi, a business consultant, teaches logical thinking at a university. He also teaches the Galactic Mayan Calendar and conducts Mayan appraisals.

Rie Hamaguchi is a businesswoman with over 30 years of experience. She has received awards in the global business world, mainly in the sectors of property, finance and trade, as well as in the diplomatic world as a reputable diplomat who has served in Japan (Tokyo), USA (Washington D.C), UK (London), Austria (Vienna), Russia (Moscow) and at the G8 Summit in Germany (Munich) and she has worked in the Korean Peninsula (South/North Korea) as a Japanese government official. Chini, originally from Japan, has lived in London for 20 years. Along with being a Homeopath, a Reiki master, and an Access Consciousness Bars practitioner, she is active in organising self-enlightenment workshops for the Japanese community in London. A recent encounter with Kirtan, yoga of the heart and voice, gave Chini a depth of experience that has led her to pursue singing meditation to add to her repertoire. In this session, Chini will sing an acapella version of the Sukiyaki song ‘Ue o muite aruko’, which is a famous Japanese song.
Shinto Moments: Discover your connection with this ancient Japanese way of living
Taishi Kato is a licensed Shinto priest from Hattori Tenjingu Shrine in Osaka Japan. He was born as the eldest son of a multi-generational family serving their 1000-year-old Shinto shrine. He graduated with MAs in religions of Asia and Africa at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) from the University of London. Taishi recently published the book ‘Shinto Moments’ in English to bring a greater understanding of the way of living with nature to the English language world.

Kaoru and Tamami are both from Japan and are currently living in London. At the same time as being mothers themselves, they have worked as nannies for over ten years. They share their passion for singing Japanese songs with the children they work with as well as for cultural education at events such as the Japanese Festival.
The ‘Sakura’, a song of cherry blossoms, represents Japan, and they are happy to have an opportunity to sing this song for the event. They are both Buddhist and they believe that the singing of this song will help to spread peace and happiness during this tough period everyone is facing due to the virus.
Multidisciplinary chronic pain management
Yoshika has worked as an anaesthesiologist, a pain clinician, an emergency doctor and an industrial physician at University Hospital/clinics/industrial firms for over ten years. She has also done pain research in the U.S.A. Now Yoshika is doing her research as a graduate student of Public Health at Kyoto University at the same time as working as a clinician, raising her 2-year-old daughter, doing natural farming and hosting an online salon to empower women (https://www.jyoseinogakko.com/reiwa-cinderella-salon).

Originally from Japan, Ayako Ichimaru has made Hong Kong her new home. She has performed with orchestras at venues such as the White House in Washington D.C., the United Nations in New York and the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. As a charismatic soloist, she has performed her original music all over the world, spreading the message of peace and happiness within.
Audiences around the world, including political leaders, have been left deeply touched by Ayako’s music. She is a “Culture Ambassador of Hong Kong”, which is most unusual for a foreigner.

Hideko is a palliative care certified nurse and has been involved in hospice and palliative care for 20 years. She has cared for the end-of-life experience for around 2,000 people. She has been practising Raja Yoga meditation since 2000. Hideko facilitates Self-Care Retreats for health care professionals around the world. As a certified instructor for Japanese sweets crafting, Hideko expresses silence of the mind and inner beauty through crafting sophisticated Japanese red bean sweets which reflects one’s heart.

Varsha Kumari Mistry has worked as a Forensic Practitioner with the Metropolitan Police Service in London for over 33 years.
She trained as a Fingerprint Expert. Her work involves examining homicide, serous crime scenes, vehicles and exhibits in a forensic laboratory for evidence recovery purposes. She presents forensic evidence in court.
She is also the current deputy chairperson for the Metropolitan Police Hindu Association, which involves voluntarily offering support to the membership, Met Police Service and communities of London. She is involved in welfare support of colleagues and promoting well-being. As a proud mother of three children, spirituality and well-being are very much at the heart of both her family and professional life for bringing out the best in all.
Tara is a business partner, singer, educator, mentor, traveller, a lover of good food and a believer in the universe. For more than twenty years she has successfully run a packaging unit along with her husband. Her love for travelling and singing has taken her to many places. With the blessings of her Guru she has been able to spread the joy of singing bhajans in various places both in and

Tripura pioneered Creative Movement Therapy in India in 1990. She studied Movement therapy at the Hancock Centre for Dance/movement therapy in Wisconsin, USA and obtained an M.A. in Psychology. She also holds a 1st class diploma in Bharatanatyam from Kalakshetra, Chennai.
She has worked as a Movement therapist at Half-way homes, Special schools, Treatment / Rehabilitation centres, Senior citizens facilities and with individual clients for many years. She has received fellowships from the Ashoka International Foundation and Indian Ministry of Culture for her innovations in dance therapy and contemporary dance. She authored ‘My Body, My Wisdom’ a handbook on Creative dance therapy and ‘Contemporary Dance: Practices, Paradigms and Practitioners’ published by Penguin and Aayu publications.
Tripura is the co-founder of Creative Movement Therapy Association of India (CMTAI) and teaches on many courses and webinars and is on the faculty of CMTAI’s Movement therapy certificate and diploma courses in Delhi, Bangalore and Pune.
A very busy mum of two, Shivali Ruparelia is a sales analyst for a global airline. However, her main passion is helping communities flourish. She volunteers for many popular community events. Shivali is a longstanding member of the volunteer staff at a weekend community school in London: the Sai School of Harrow. Her outstanding commitment was nationally recognised when she was awarded the ‘Princess Diana Award’ for voluntary service and won the ‘Inspiring Asian Women’s award‘ for being an ‘inspirational role model’. He worked as teacher at the New Mayapur gurukula and farm project in France and held a number of teaching positions in the UK. He served as president at the Hare Krishna Temple in Leicester, and heads now the Hare Krishna Centre for Vedic Studies. He studied music and religious studies at Leicester University and communication arts at De Montfort University. He is a passionate climate advocate with a special interest in plastic pollution.
