Delivering healthcare to rural & tribal villages in Rajasthan

As Medical Director and a Trustee of the hospitals run by the Global Hospital & Research Centre (GHRC), Dr Partap Midha is responsible for four hospitals, an elderly care home, a nursing school and college and an extensive community outreach programme serving the local rural communities.  GHRC has a policy of making basic health care accessible to everyone, regardless of their socio-economic background.  The hospital offers a unique holistic approach, including ayurveda, homeopathy in addition to spiritual practises, all under one roof.

Western Rajasthan is one of the least privileged areas of India. Much of it is desert, water is in short supply and the literacy rate is low. The majority of the population is deprived of basic health services. This situation began to change in 1990 with the establishment of the J Watumull Memorial Global Hospital and Research Centre (GHRC) by the Brahma Kumaris at Mt. Abu. Designed to provide high-quality, modern, holistic healthcare services in a tranquil, rural environment, the hospital is managed and run by a charitable trust established and supported by members of the Brahma Kumaris. It offers free or subsidised treatment and medicines to about 100,000 people every year, of whom about 54,000 are tribals living in the district’s 855 villages.

The Princeton University  born Global Consciousness Project data shows that World Tai Chi & Qigong Day affected, not just those participating in the event, but increased coherence in the consciousness of the entire planet. “[Our data during the 24 hour period of WTCQD] suggests a big change in the mass consciousness as the Tai Chi practice comes to the West …” – GCP report.

Health Care For ALL

Clara Apollo, RGN, is an Elemental Qigong teacher trainer, intuitive energy mentor and co-founder of OneQi, a hub for Qigong teachers in the UK. She presents ‘Chi Time’ on UK Health Radio and writes for their Health Triangle Magazine. She is dedicated to turning people onto the wisdom of their Qi-personal energy to encourage better levels of health and wellness, creating harmonious mind-body-soul connection.

Qigong found Clara in the early 1990’s to assist her recovery from a serious RSI on both her arms, after 15 years in her costume design career. The practice helped her manage being a busy single Mum plus heed a call to something ‘more’. Finding Qigong moves and meditations so hugely beneficial, she did a 4 year teacher training at the biodynamic based College of Elemental Chi Kung London in the early 2000’s. In 2012 she set up an Elemental Qigong Teacher Training programme, producing many successful teachers who go on to inspire many more to turn onto the wisdom of their Qi. On taking on Conscious Living Events in 2016, Clara invited Qigong Grand Master Ken Cohen to teach, with whom her experience with lineage forms continues, alongside the Elemental Qigong principles she values and loves to share.

Clara’s main remit is to encourage others to express their human and spiritual nature through movement, sound and meditation, to help access a soulful, deeply peaceful and supportive connection with their ability to heal and step forward into their true health.
