Sangeeta Kalyan

Your Back’s got your back:

Spinal health for the empowered women.

Sangeeta broke free from the rigmarole of promotions and target based achievements as Regional Manager of a bank with a rare burst of inspiration, and quit her job to enrol for Yoga classes. She is
here today, “still learning, still exploring and still enjoying. I still have a goal and I am getting there.”
Before starting Samasthiti Yoga [Yoga Teacher Training School], Sangeeta taught group classes and conducted corporate and private workshops across the globe. She believes there is no reason why physical and mental beauty cannot co-exist in the same body. There is no excuse for believing that the body will not respond to what the mind tells it to do. There is no greater universe to explore than the one with your eyes closed and the focus on your own breath.

There is no greater story ever to be told than your exploration of this universe that each posture aligns you with. There is no greater target than achievement of mind over body. That is Yoga and meditation to her.
Yes, it works.

Awakening Your True Feminine Nature

Looking across the landscape of today’s societies, one can easily see that the definition of what is feminine is mired in deep confusion. Rather than helping us to discover ways to heal and empower ourselves and our world, too often we have been taught to look outside of ourselves for answers to our problems, to medicate and numb our emotions or forget our deep-seated concerns and intuitive knowing by losing ourselves in the superficial worlds presented to us by the media. Yet the key to health and happiness is to look within. And when one looks deep enough, when one lifts the veils of trauma, one discovers the healing, nurturing, power of the sacred feminine current, the Shakti, the Yin the Goddess within.

Drawing upon her lifetime of research and experience in the performing and healing arts, Indian Classical Dance, yoga, alchemy, women’s mysteries in cultures throughout the world and qigong; teacher, filmmaker and author Sharron Rose takes you on an introductory journey to perceive and experience the power of your essential feminine nature.
