Craniosacral Therapy in Integrative Health Care

Roger Gilchrist teaches Craniosacral Biodynamics internationally.  He has been a consultant for the National Institutes of Health (USA) and is the author of the book, Craniosacral Therapy and the Energetic Body.

Craniosacral Therapy embraces the core of the human system by working with the nervous system, the respiratory process, and the structure of the body.  Craniosacral Therapy was originally developed in osteopathic medicine, and now is practiced by many types of health practitioners.  Craniosacral Biodynamics refined the practice to include life energy dynamics as well as the structure and function of the body.
Gilchrist, as a transpersonal psychotherapist, extends this model to the ways that consciousness is embodied in the structure and process of the physical body.  Life takes shape in the forms it creates.  Viewing the integrated patterns of body, mind, and spirit helps practitioners have a more holistic approach to their clients.
By working with core of human experience, Craniosacral Therapy touches the essence of life.  Key points in the structure of the body, the rhythms of respiration and other movements, the connective tissues, cerebrospinal fluid, and neurological response circuits are all part of the practice of CST.  In a Biodynamic approach, the dynamics in the human energy field and the patterns of consciousness are also appreciated in the work.

The global transformation project. Bringing science based mind/body practices to public education worldwide

William Douglas is Founder of World Tai Chi  & Qigong Day (WTCQD), celebrated annually in 100s of cities in over 80 nations on the “last Saturday of April” each year. He is the author of “The Tao of Tai Chi: The Making of a New Science,” and “The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Tai Chi & Qigong” (4th edition Penguin Publishing). William’s latest book, releasing January 1, 2022, is “NEW 2ND EDITION; The Gospel of Science: Mind Blowing New Science on Ancient Truths to Heal Our Stressful Lives and planet.” Partly inspired by data from the Princeton University born Global Consciousness Project, which recently provided research data revealing that this event of mass Tai Chi and Qigong events “increased coherence” in global consciousness. The Princeton University  born Global Consciousness Project data shows that World Tai Chi & Qigong Day affected, not just those participating in the event, but increased coherence in the consciousness of the entire planet. “[Our data during the 24 hour period of WTCQD] suggests a big change in the mass consciousness as the Tai Chi practice comes to the West …” – GCP report
