Sweetcorn Chowder Demo with a Discussion on Nutrition and its Role in Optimal Health
Radhika is a qualified Chef, having studied at Le Cordon Bleu, London in 2014. She went on to work in Michelin star restaurants, Private Members’ Clubs and on various events.
Her love for nutrition and wellness came about when her chef work made her very ill and it was the importance she finally placed on her own nutrition and achieving balance that brought her back to health. She went onto qualify as an MNU Certified Nutritionist and is now in the process of establishing her own nutrition consultancy, combining it with her chef skills to essentially target health in a holistic manner. Given that the current nutrition landscape is very confusing, during COVID lockdown she started interactive Zoom classes focussing on myth busting and nutrition topics based around a particular dish she would prepare in that session and today’s session will follow in a similar manner!

Nutriton, lifestyle and your gut Microbiome
Dr Mahesh Shah is a medical doctor in London and has also studied naturopathic nutrition at the College of Naturopathic Medicine. After settling down as a general practitioner, Dr Shah quickly realised the “revolving door” scenario with his patients, who would come back for the same or worsening issues despite prescription medications. Dissatisfied by this, he decided to find out if there was anything else that could be done, and soon found himself in the wonderful world of whole food plant based nutrition and naturopathy. He has helped people naturally and holistically with chronic conditions such as obesity, heart disease and diabetes. Dr Shah does many talks and events and has recently started up his own Nutritional Therapy service, The Green Doctor, to help inspire and empower people to great health and well being and a new lease of life.

Vegan Filipino Cooking Demonstration
Born and raised in Bacoor Cavite, Philippines, RG Enriquez-Diez grew up helping her mother cook traditional Filipino food. At 15 years old, RG and her family migrated to the San Francisco Bay Area. Years later, she took a nutrition class in college that eventually led her to going vegan. Being away from the Philippines and being vegan, RG has longed for the food of her homeland. With the help of her mother, she has veganized her favorite Filipino classics. RG formed the website, Astig Vegan, to show the world that Filipino food can be vegan, healthy, and delicious, without losing its soul. She shares her vegan discoveries and recipes on astigvegan.com, and her online cooking show, “Astig Vegan Cooking” on YouTube.
