Carolyn Driver

Real Food for Health

Carolyn Driver is a Public health Collaboration (UK) Ambassador. Carolyn is a retired Nurse who has a special interest in the role of nutrition to enable optimum health – she is particularly keen to help people lose weight and prevent or reverse type 2 diabetes.

Prior to the outbreak of COVID 19 the World Health Organisation was becoming increasingly concerned about the increase in obesity and diabetes globally. The importance of how badly these conditions impact lives has become tragically clear when, in addition to older age, these factors have been recognised as predictors of life threatening infection with COVID-19. It has never been more important to prevent or reverse type 2 diabetes. There is increasing evidence that poor nutrition is the root cause of many of the modern chronic health conditions. Unfortunately many countries dietary guidelines are not following the evidence and are in fact driving the epidemic.

This presentation will examine what a healthy dietary lifestyle should look like.
